Built for Recovery.

Mahawijaya exists because too much of what Malaysian industry discards still holds value — and because recovering it is an engineering problem someone had to take seriously.

01 — Story

Why Mahawijaya Exists

Mahawijaya started with an uncomfortable observation, made over years spent around Klang Valley construction sites: the skip bins leaving those sites were full of money. Structural steel going to landfill at a loss. Concrete — crushed rock that someone once paid to quarry, transport and pour — buried under soil at Jeram. Formwork timber used once and burned. Everyone on site knew it. Nobody was set up to do anything about it.

So in May 2026 we set up the company that does something about it. Mahawijaya Eco Waste Management operates a resource recovery facility in Puchong: contractors, developers and manufacturers pay a transparent tipping fee to dispose of their material with us, and we put it through a process most haulers never built — sorting, weighing, crushing, shredding, grading. What comes out the other side is not waste. It is aggregate that goes into the next road base. Steel that goes back to the mill. Wood chip that fires an industrial boiler instead of a landfill methane plume.

We are a new company, and we treat that as an engineering advantage. Our weighbridge was calibrated this year, not patched for a decade. Our documentation is digital because we never owned a filing cabinet worth defending. Our processing methods are developed with researchers at Universiti Malaya, UiTM and UTM rather than inherited from how things were always done. Malaysia's landfills are filling on a schedule everyone can read. We built Mahawijaya because the alternative — recovering the value instead of burying it — is no longer an idealistic position. It is simply the better-engineered one.

Mission

To recover the maximum value from every tonne of industrial and construction material in the Klang Valley — measured, documented, and returned to productive use.

Vision

To become one of Malaysia's leading integrated environmental solutions and resource recovery companies, recognised for innovation, sustainability, operational excellence and responsible waste management.

02 — Values

What We Hold Ourselves To

  • 01

    Measurement is integrity.

Every load crosses a calibrated weighbridge. Numbers we cannot verify are numbers we do not publish.

  • 02

Material has value until proven otherwise.

Landfill is the last resort in our process flow, not the default setting.

  • 03

    Documentation is the product.

Clients buy certainty. The ticket, the consignment note and the monthly report matter as much as the collection itself.

  • 04

    Safety precedes schedule.

No swap, haul or crush is worth an incident. Anyone on our sites can stop a job.

  • 05

    Research before routine.

We partner with universities because "how it has always been done" is how the industry arrived here.

03 — Research

Recovery Is a Research Problem. We Treat It Like One.

Mahawijaya develops its processing methods with researchers at Universiti Malaya, Universiti Teknologi MARA and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Most of this industry runs on inherited practice; our collaborations exist to keep re-asking the question.

Material recovery efficiency

Raising per-stream recovery rates through improved separation and characterisation of mixed construction material.

Recycled-material quality standards

Testing regimes and grading frameworks that let recovered aggregate and processed outputs meet specification clauses with confidence.

Sustainable processing

Reducing the energy and water intensity of recovery itself, so the environmental arithmetic holds at every step.

Circular-economy applications

New productive uses for fractions currently classed as residual, with Malaysian construction as the target market.

Future technologies

Evaluation of sensor-based sorting, automated characterisation and data systems against the realities of a working yard.

Questions before you enquire

  • May 2026. The company is newly established and operational — and this website only publishes figures we can evidence.

  • Yes. Client audits and buyer inspections are welcomed by appointment.

  • Per tonne against a transparent tipping tariff, weighed on a calibrated bridge with the ticket issued the same working day. Scheduled waste and specialised streams are quoted separately.
